Ewoud N. Swaak has been appointed as Honorary Consul to the Netherlands for Georgia and South Carolina, based in Atlanta. The Honorary Consulate in Atlanta — together with six other Honorary Consulates throughout the Southern United States — falls under the jurisdiction of the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Miami.



Mr. Swaak is Founder and President of Westplan Investors, Inc, a privately held Dutch organization engaged in equity investment products for Dutch investors in U.S. real estate development. Westplan strives to invest equity in short-term real estate ventures with experienced local developers, primarily in the Southern United States, in order to create substantial returns for its Fund's investors. Westplan focuses on residential projects such as subdivisions, apartments and condominiums (conversion and construction). To date Westplan's investments represent a real estate portfolio in excess of $1 Billion. Westplan has offices in Atlanta and The Netherlands.

Mr. Swaak holds a Masters of Science in Economics from Erasmus University in Rotterdam and studied Real Estate Science at Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA. He is involved with the community both in the Atlanta area and abroad. He serves on the Board of the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO), is a Member of the Rotary Club of North Fulton, and is a Member of the Board of Councilors of the Carter Center.
