Welcome to the Consulate
of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Atlanta, Georgia The Consulate of the Netherlands is a diplomatic emissary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. We serve as a link between The Netherlands, Georgia and South Carolina in all aspects of culture, trade, education, and sports. In addition, the office serves the local and Dutch constituency in these two states by providing consular assistance to citizens of The Netherlands and others. The Honorary Consulate in Atlanta processes passport applications for Dutch nationals. The Honorary Consulate in Atlanta falls under the jurisdiction of the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Miami. The Consulate General in Miami is responsible for the following areas of the United States and the Caribbean: Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, the Turks & Caicos Islands, the Cayman Islands and the US Virgin Islands. Applications for passports are processed at our office in Atlanta. However, the production of these documents takes place in Washington; please allow processing time of 2-3 weeks. Ewoud N. Swaak was appointed by Royal Decree as Honorary Consul to the Netherlands for Georgia and South Carolina. Mr. Swaak is Founder and President of Westplan Investors, Inc, a privately held Dutch organization engaged in equity investment products for Dutch investors in U.S. real estate development. Westplan strives to invest equity in short-term real estate ventures with experienced local developers, primarily in the Southern United States, in order to create substantial returns for its Fund's investors.
